The apartments are located inside an ancient building in Piazza della Signoria.
Right here, in medieval times, there was the seat of the powerful corporation called “Arte dei Mercatanti”.
It was here that very high quality fabrics were produced and this art lived up to 1770 and was then replaced by the Florence Chamber of Commerce.
Although the history of the building dates back to the fourteenth century, both apartments are furnished with great attention to detail in a contemporary style. All modern comforts are at your fingertips while admiring the amazing Palazzo Vecchio or Duomo from your windows.
In fact, Piazza Signoria hosts one of the symbols of the ancient Florentine power over the centuries, namely Palazzo Vecchio. Hence the Medici family reigned over one of the most famous and richest cities in the world for centuries.
To his right are the Uffizi, while to his left the Gucci Museum. If you immediately turn left, as soon as you come out of the door of the building, you will find yourself on via Calzaiuoli which leads to the Duomo.
All the other Florentine monuments are easily reachable on foot and in the surroundings there are shops for all needs and restaurants that satisfy every taste.
It is also said that the adjacent “Canto Diamante” was the place where Dante made an appointment with those he had to meet.
